How SU calculates APS
Stellenbosch uses the TPT, a percentage aggregate: your highest Language of Learning & Teaching mark (English or Afrikaans) plus your five best other 20-credit subjects, divided by 6.
- TPT = [ highest LoLT mark (English or Afrikaans) + sum of your 5 best other 20-credit subjects ] / 6.
- The result is a percentage, not a points score.
- Excluded: Life Orientation, Advanced Programme Mathematics, Mathematics 3, and any non-NSC subject.
- Programmes set their own minimum TPT plus subject requirements.
Method verified against Stellenbosch University Admission Requirements - TPT (Admission Score) (2026 intake).

Faculty and programme minimums are being verified per faculty from official prospectuses and will land in a later stage. Meeting a minimum never guarantees admission - programmes are competitive and use additional criteria.
